Verified issue does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

What happened?

Schedules tab doesn't load my schedules. All submenu-items are still working fine (payees, rules, tags, settings). ActualBudget is hosted via PikaPods, used different devices and different browsers.

I'm not entirely sure at what specific point triggered this issue. I believe it was when I was trying to use the "post transaction" action button via Schedules page. But clicking on it didn't do anything, so I kept clicked on the other action buttons. Somehow, maybe this may be the cause of this bug?

On a separate related issue, rules cannot be deleted now because it says its associated with Linked Schedules.

How can we reproduce the issue?

I don't know what triggered it.

Where are you hosting Actual?

PikaPods

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Firefox, Chrome

Operating System

MacOS/ iOS.

Are there any errors in the browser logs? https://appuals.com/open-browser-console/

Hm, they're not related to Actual. Can you try reloading the schedules page while the console is open?

Yes, that is good, thanks. I've put a fix up at https://github.com/actualbudget/actual/pull/6169. Once the deploy preview is built (https://deploy-preview-6169.demo.actualbudget.org), try uploading your budget to it and see if you can access your schedules there.

Essentially, one of your schedules is broken. You might be able to find which one by checking the linked rules and finding which is missing it's conditions.

Much appreciated! I've gone in and deleted some schedules.

Now I'm trying to confirm whether I have fixed the issues. I tried to export from the "preview build", and import back into my PikaPods. However, it's saying the ActualBudget versions don't match.

Do I have to wait until next month's release?

Ah, that'll be because the preview build is based on v25.11, and Pikapods probably hasn't updated yet. When I can get to a laptop I'll change it over to be based on 25.10 for you and you can upload your budget to it again.

@Jason-CChao try https://deploy-preview-6172.demo.actualbudget.org/, that should be based on 25.10 and include the fix

@matt-fidd Hi Matt,

Really appreciate your help!

However, now I'm encountering an "internal error" message when importing my budget. I've tried several methods so far.
Original Budget on PikaPods says its Client/Server is v25.11.0

  1. Export original budget to preview6169, I can make changes to the schedules, then export. When trying to import back to my original server hosted via PikaPods, it says its out of date and I get the following console logs:

  1. When trying to import either Original budget or preview6169 to preview6172, I get an internal error message pop. But nothing shows up in the console. The local file shows up once the page refreshses, but it says client is out of date.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
