Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

When covering overspending, all categories display regardless of the available balance.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

I am proposing a change that would hide categories with balances <= 0 when covering overspending.

Using YNAB as an example - We can see that I've overspent my Internet category, money is available in Electricity and Life Insurance, but not Offering.

When I go to cover the overspending, Offering does not display.

Thanks for reporting! I've closed it in favour of an older request for the same thing, feel free to head over there and give it a 👍

Hey @matt-fidd ,

I believe #4505 is a different feature/bug.

My request is that categories with insufficient funds do not display at all. They would simply be hidden from the cover overspending modal.

I can see your point, I think we discussed in that issue and same to the same conclusion as this one, but the original intentions were different. I'll keep this one open and see how it goes.
