What happened?

When I select text in a category or account note, I'm unable to expand or reduce the text selection by dragging the grab points.

iOS: 26.0.1

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. Open a category or account notes
  2. Add a sentence
  3. Attempt to select one word, then drag the grab points to include another word in the selection, nothing happens or if where you dragged to is near the context menu, the nearest action is selected.

In the screen recording below, I attempted to select "Here" in the first line, then expand the select to the right, but it was registered as a tap on 'Paste' in the context menu. Similar for the last word of the line and expanding the selection to the left.

I can replicate this, but I have also seen it in other apps in iOS 26, and it seems to be reported online elsewhere too.
I'm sure there's something we can do about it, but it looks to be iOS 26 related
