and it acts like an app.

False. PWAs are a crutch. On iOS they're missing at least:

  • Widgets
  • Shortcuts support
  • Siri support (App Intents)
  • Quick actions on Home Screen, lock screen and control center
  • Watch App
  • GPS location without being asked for permission every single day (for suggesting payees)

I'm sure the situation on Android is similar. While I agree that the responsive web interface is a good compromise until somebody takes action and develops an app, it's nowhere near a native app.
