Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

Unless I've overlooked it, there's no way to quickly jump to a given month and year. I'm having to go back to 2014 and getting there requires clicking the "Previous Month" button in the nav 100+ times. Since the URL doesn't update, I can't simply tweak that either.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

I'd love to see a button that pops up a date chooser and jumps the budget to the selected month and date. I'd also love to see bookmarkable URLs. If we had those, I'd be fine with manually tweaking the URL.

Teaching and learning

There are standard widgets/components for this functionality. I don't think it'll be too difficult for users to discover and make use of the functionality.

Do you mean on mobile specifically? You can traverse years quite quickly on desktop by clicking on the months in the picker.

I was asking on desktop. I saw I could click months, but only in the visible year range. I hadn't noticed that selecting the last month at either end would advance the years. I think a datepicker would still be a bit more ergonomic, but I appreciate the tip. It's going to cut the number of times I need to click quite substantially.
