Verified issue does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

What happened?

When importing from CSV, for some reason the Payee capitalization is changes so that every first character of a word block is capitalized, rather than keeping the original format provided. This should probably be a toggle on the import dialogue.

How can we reproduce the issue?

Import a CSV with Payee names like TEST tEsT tesT TEsT, all of them will be changed to "Test"

Where are you hosting Actual?

None

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

No response

Operating System

Linux

This is by design to standardise payees, not a bug. I'll move this to a feature request in case someone wants to implement an import setting to be able to change the capitalisation rules.

Fair, but the YNAB4 Import doesn't work that way.
