Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

While setting up a category in Budget, there are options like Set to 3 month avg, Set to 6 month avg and Set to yearly avg. It would be useful to decide which option to chose if we could see the actual values.
For example if the budgeting menu shows, Set to 3 month avg: 350$, Set to 6 month avg: 300$ and Set to yearly avg: 200$.
This helps in identifying budgets that are growing/reducing in the recent months compared to the last year. Or this could help in taking a calculated decision about, if my expenses in the category for 3months is X, 6months is Y and for an year is Z, i would need X' this month and specify that amount in the text field.

Without this feature, we have to try the options one by one to see the actual value in the budget.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

Selecting one of the dropdown value, enters the average expense into the budgeting category. So, we can pre-calculate this value and push it to the UI level for the selected category.
