Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

I have some accounts synced to Actual Budget via SimpleFIN that I don't want to see in the transactions view or categorize (eg 401k, HSA, etc).

Since the accounts are still synced, it would allow reports and other things to still operate on their balances.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

I would like a "bank sync setting" to "hide transactions" or something similar. This means these transactions & accounts would still sync, but they would not show up in the "transactions" views (and therefore would not count towards the "uncategorized transactions" count).

Thanks for sharing your idea!

Is that any different than an off budget account?

Actually, that's probably exactly what I'm looking for now that I'm reading https://actualbudget.org/docs/accounts/#off-budget-accounts

Can I access the "Off budget" setting after the account has already been added?

You need to make a new account that is off budget.
