Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

In my "envelope budget" system, the "envelopes" reset every month. So I'm always concerned with what the transactions are each month (separate from every other month). In Actual Budget, I do this by choosing Filter > Date > "is greater than or equals" > 05/01/2025. However, this date will always have to be changed for every month.

I am suggesting a "suggested filter" of "This Month". So when you click on "Filter" it is listed there alongside "Date", "Notes", etc. Or, perhaps under "Date". This filter would be "dynamic" in that it would always filter for transactions "greater than or equal" to the first of the month - regardless of what month it is.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem
