What happened?
A bug happened! After an update i cant split a transaction, for example from a petrol station i would divide drinks from petrol inside the car, this optio nhas disappeared.

On desktop client version up to date v25.4.0 on windows 10, the split transaction into two or more has disappeared from the options menu that appearse when one transaction is selected.

@iweputo which menu? Normally splitting is done from the category field as far as I know, and I don't see any mention now or in the past of a split transaction option in the selected transactions menu.

I'm seeing this too. The "Add Split" button simply doesn't appear.
Reproduction steps for me:
I'm basically stuck until this bug is fixed. If anything needs an emergency fix, this bug does.

Add an amount to the transaction then there will be the option to add a split line. You aren't getting the option because Actual sees that the totals match sum(children)=parent total

Ah, that's it. I'm not sure why my flow this morning differed in such a way to make me think something was wrong. Please consider this as a problem between keyboard and chair (at least as far as I'm concerned).

Thanks for the solution! I think previously you could split transactions in two places from the category column and also from the drop down menu at the top when selecting a single transaction. Now its only available from the category column.
