What happened?

Actual was removed by community-scripts for proxmox.

Issue

How can we reproduce the issue?

Community Scripts is the most practical way of installing and keeping up to date applications and servers in proxmox. 2 days ago Actual was removed from the available packages, according to developers, because of too many issues regarding broken installation packages.

Could you get in touch to solve any pending issues and to try to reinstate the app?

Where are you hosting Actual?

Other

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Chrome

Operating System

👋 Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

@MikesGlitch commented a good write-up for this issue here.

I can see how it can be frustrating to consume Actual from proxmox's perspective. However, we never intended internal build scripts to be used outside the core Actual repos (i.e. we never intended folks to build the app from scratch instead of just using a pre-built version). Fortunately there will soon be a solution that will allow proxmox to use a pre-built version (without docker). That will make it more easy-to-use for these folks.

We don’t have the bandwidth to maintain every third-party installation method so if the proxmox Community Scripts maintainers are running into issues, they’re welcome to open GitHub issues or PRs for specific problems, and we’ll help where we can. Or alternatively - the wider community can be reached on Discord. But for long-term support, they’ll need to take the lead on keeping things working.

Closing as there is no "bug" to fix here.
