Verified issue does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

What happened?

I've been using template-priority amount to set my budgeted amount to be atleast the required CC minimium. Switched it to using a schedule, and noticed that it works only for the first month and on upcoming months all of budgeted money goes to cc category.

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. enable goal templates > Create an account with a negative starting balance, set category to X.
  2. Create a schedule like "transfer 100 to the account every month" > on the category, set a template with a priority using said schedule
  3. Overwrite with template
  4. Move to the next month > overwrite with template

(demo is exported from edge on 15/3)

The issue isn't the rollover per se, its the negative balance. The schedule is trying to get the balance to be 100 per week, and its doing that. The example you gave is only budgeting 1k because the to budget ran out.

You will need to use a template that doesn't look at category balance like #template 100 repeat every week starting 2024-04-01
