Verified feature request does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue

💻

  • Would you like to implement this feature?

Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

On the Budget page, if you are using tracked instead of zero-based, it will give you a projected savings amount based on your budgeted amounts. This is great for the beginning of the month, however if you do not update your budgeted amounts as you go, it will no longer be accurate unit it changes to "saved" after the month ends.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

The "Projected savings" should take into account the budgeted amount at first, but if the spending category goes over the budgeted amount, the projected savings should automatically decrease by the difference. This can currently be accomplished by updating the "budgeted" amounts throughout the month if one goes over but an automated way for the application to do that would be preferred.
