What happened?

I was trying to add a new rule, and it looked like it wasn't adding anything, so I cancelled and tried to add the same rule again. Nothing was happening, so I refreshed, and it showed an empty screen. I left this for a while, and eventually closed the application. Now, I can't open the application at all.

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. Install the desktop app on Mac. (M2 Macbook Pro)
  2. Import transactions for an account.
  3. Attempt to create a new rule
  4. (Try cancelling and creating one again, if it looks like it doesn't work?)
  5. Quit the application
  6. Open the application

Where are you hosting Actual?

Desktop App (Electron)

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

This is really hard to reproduce, I've never had a rule not create properly.

Actual can sometimes hang on that loading screen though, try a force reload (CMD + shift + R) or a normal reload (CMD + R) and see if you can get past it.

If you're able to provide a budget file we can reproduce with then I can reopen this

Delete Branch "%!s()"
