What happened?

I was trying to import a budget from a different instance into a new one, but I get an error message.

Both instances are running on docker, the original one in a Windows 11 machine and the second one on Linux.

I even followed the instructions here, but the error persists: https://actualbudget.org/docs/backup-restore/restore#errors-when-restoring-database-from-backup

How can we reproduce the issue?

  1. Open an Actual instance and export a budget
  2. Go to a different instrance.
  3. Click on "Import a budget".
  4. Optional: follow the instructions to manually fix the migrations
  5. Select the .zip file

Where are you hosting Actual?

Docker

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Chrome, Firefox

Operating System

Solved it by importing the files using a different laptop.
