Verified issue does not already exist?

I have searched and found no existing issue

What happened?

If I filter an account view by category, and then "select all", all of the items in a split transaction are selected including those that don't match the filter. This throws off the expected selected balance of the filter. I would expect only the filtered transactions to be selected within a split transaction.

I agree this has been a serious issue with filters ever since they were introduced over two years ago.

I use tabular reporting far more than graphs so this is a big one for me - I have to remember not to use splits for the sort of transactions I need to report on (mostly for tax filing)

EDIT: if filter is by payee only or date only then all splits may still need to be selected. But not normally if filtering by category or note.

It looks like this is a duplicate of #283.
