Verified issue does not already exist?

  • I have searched and found no existing issue
  • I will be providing steps how to reproduce the bug (in most cases this will also mean uploading a demo budget file)

What happened?

Another user has reported this but I am able to reproduce when using a tablet with touch rather than mouse:

  1. the accounts notes keep appearing and do not disappear again in the way they would on “mousing away” on the web app. Clicking away helps but the notes reappear again too easily and obscure the date column of transactions.
  2. “clicking” in the side bar often does not work and a second attempt is needed

Where are you hosting Actual?

Pikapods

What browsers are you seeing the problem on?

Safari

Operating System

Mobile Device

Looks like I can still reproduce this, though it's not too surprising considering that it's using the desktop UI for a touch device.
If someone wants to take a stab there was a recent PR to inhibit the click through behaviour on pie charts that added a method for detecting touch capable devices. That could be reused for disabling the hover popovers for those devices too.
