Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

I use Tracking Budgeting rather than Envelope Budgeting as I want to be able to forecast what my income and expenditure look like over the course of a year.

At the moment, I'm not able to see a final position for a given time period as the reporting is only backward-looking. It doesn't take into account budgeted amounts for future months.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

I'd like to be able to create a report for Jan-Dec (or any time period) that shows actuals for completed months and forecasts for future months (including the current month - currently it shows actuals in the current month so ignores things like forecasted income which is misleading). This would enable me to understand what I'm likely to have spent/saved over the course of the time period.

Hope this makes sense!

If the report page allows selection of future months, I'd have thought it would be obvious that forecasted budgets have been used rather than actuals.
