Pitch: what problem are you trying to solve?

On my iPhone (XS), the number of columns makes viewing the category names and data difficult.
When out shopping, I want to be able to view my budget line item quickly and determine the amount available and if I can afford that item.
Knowing how much I budgeted this month and how much I have spent doesn't make any difference to me in that moment.

Describe your ideal solution to this problem

  • If screen width < some threshold, only show the 'category name' and 'balance', don't show budgeted amount or spent amount.

Don't think there's any doco that would need to be written for this.
