What happened?

I was trying to rename the budget file in the desktop client on Fedora 44/GNOME. I typed the new name into the field and received an error warning stating "Something internally went wrong.'

The name did not update as expected.

Renaming the budget on the webapp (Chrome) worked. A second attempt to rename it from the desktop client succeeded; the third attempt failed.

The issue is intermittent - some attempts succeed, some fail with the error popup.

How can we reproduce the issue?

  • I clicked the budget name field in the top left hand corner of the desktop client
  • I typed the new intended name for the budget (eg - "mylastname Budget 2026")
  • I hit Enter
  • An error message popup in the bottom right hand corner tells me "Something internally went wrong"
