The function name dns_slabheader_fromrdataset() was too similar to dns_rdataslab_fromrdataset(). Instead, we now have an rdataset method 'getheader' which is implemented for slab-type rdatasets. A new NOHEADER rdataset attribute is set for rdatasets using raw slabs (i.e., noqname and closest encloser proofs); when called on rdatasets with that flag set, dns_rdataset_getheader() returns NULL.
